[[POWDER]] is a traditional Hacklike.
[[The Slimy Lichmummy]] is a hacklike with an unusual cyberpunk/fantasy setting. You start out with a shotgun and a dozen shells. Encounters include mutated ratmen and grenade-throwing chainsaw ogres. Improve your character by replacing body parts with machinery on your way to ascension.

Players of NetHack will not be unduly surprised with a lot of the setting and interface.
Anti-grinding gameplay - you do not gain experience from kills and do not regenerate health naturally. Only player skill (and the RNG) counts.

The goal is to get to the 25th level of the dungeon, retrieve the Heart of Baezl'bub, and then return to the surface world.
Minimal graphical style. Play in textmode or with an original black-gray-and-white tileset. Runs on Linux, Windows and others.

What makes this difficult is the requirement to not die on the way.
