Description

Mutant Rogue was developed for the Trials of Oryx game jam between 11/25 and 12/25 2013.

The player is given one of eleven random mutations and crawls through infinite ship tiers till they die or until they activate the command chair and win.

The game is at an early stage of development and interaction options are limited at present, with more added as development continues.

An .exe version is available for Windows machines, and the .py source code is available.

Features

  • interactive objects, some which require Guild membership
  • loot artifacts, some which require guild membership
  • credits can be earned by donation and items dispensed from a vending machine

Future developments include a metagame where players can "program" enhanced abilities into the next generation of explorers.
