Lords of DarkHall is a hack and slash type roguelike set in the recently redicovered ruins of DarkHall Manor. Influenced primarily by Nethack, as well as Crawl and ZAngband, DarkHall will ultimately strive to create a persistant, yet randomized world, where players descend deep into the ruins collecting treasure and slaying monsters - your basic fantasy quest. DarkHall will attempt to differentiate it's self with some lesser used features in a roguelike, such as a skill tree, free form classes, crafting, and nary an elf or dwarf in sight. Many features are planned, and the basic engine is fairly solid, with around 20 skills in place, and several different randomized level types. In addition, special, non randomized levels appear in the game, and both a quest and a random game type are planned, with randomized and static quests.
Darkhall is distributed free of charge, with only the stipulation that the game .EXE remains unedited (users are free to alter the configurable monster and item definitions.)
