Nightmare Tyrant is a 7 Day Roguelike game written for the 2013 7DRL Challenge set in a dark fantasy setting. This roguelike was mainly intended as a test/showcase of an approach in which a roguelike is challenging without being also punishing. Apart from that, a multidimensional action resolution system makes both the player's and enemy attacks more interesting than the traditional "hit and roll damage" or "miss", but the potential of such a mechanic is far from fully tapped here.
There are two versions of the game available - original 7DRL version and Nightmare Tyrant Gold, which is a bugfixed and polished update of the 7DRL. You can download both from: [1]
