[[NotEye]] (Necklace of the Eye) is a frontend for playing roguelikes.  
[[Diggr]] is a modern roguelike game vaguely in the hacklike tradition.


It works with ASCII applications which use the system console for the UI (thus, it does not work with roguelikes which are also ASCII, but are implemented with e.g. SDL).
* Diggr attempts to make impossible all forms of scumming.
 
* Diggr is not at all based on AD&D in any way.  
Since 5.0 it also supports libtcod 1.5.1 roguelikes.  
* Diggr should play fast.
* Diggr attempts to continue the in the strategic gameplay style of Nethack.
* Diggr should have a sense of humor. Diggr should also avoid common fantasy tropes and cliches.
* Diggr avoids 'flavor' for flavor's sake.  
* Spoilers are fun. Diggr should be a game where the mechanics and strategies are not obvious and low-hanging fruit.
