- Looks neat; I was going to implement slightly less "gamble-y" chests, but I'm trying to leave the new features open to suggestion. Glad you enjoy it so far. | - Looks neat; I was going to implement slightly less "gamble-y" chests, but I'm trying to leave the new features open to suggestion. Glad you enjoy it so far. | ||

Cooplike
Hello, I saw your game on sf.net. The windows download breaks when trying to unrar it on Linux (application.windows/lib/tritonus_share.jar - CRC failed). I downloaded the win version because I thought there was a file missing in the Linux download but then I found and `chmod +x`-ed the "cooplike" file.
- Well, I'll have to hope that these issues can be resolved by helpful people other than me. I'm developing the game on a Windows XP machine and have no access to either a Linux or Mac machine. - Glad to see you got it running, however. :)
When starting the game, I have a 7-seconds black screen and command line errors. The main menu is probably not epileptic-safe.
- I can see about making the main menu flash a little less; honestly I was just having fun with it. :) - As far as those command line errors, I'll have to do some looking into it. Obviously, the game runs on my machine or I wouldn't have released it. - After the 7 seconds, does the game seem to be functioning normally? - - UPDATE: I looked into those errors; they're apparently perfectly normal for the library I'm using and only occur at startup; they don't appear to indicate any actual troubles running the game. I played for a while and made a video at the end of which I commit suicide.
- Cool; I'll try to load it up. I live in a part of the rural U.S. where they don't exactly offer cable internet. :P But still, cool. :)
The game's feel reminds me of Super Crate Box. The "what's in the chest?" gambling does *something* to me.
- Looks neat; I was going to implement slightly less "gamble-y" chests, but I'm trying to leave the new features open to suggestion. Glad you enjoy it so far. - - UPDATE: I played some Super Crate Box. It reminded me why I favor roguelike games. It also made me feel like I could use some anger management. Still, fun game. :)
What are the authors of code/graphics/sounds? What are the licenses of code/graphics/sounds?
- I produced the code and the graphics. The sounds are under various non-commercial or free use licenses and were acquired on SoundBible.com; I have edited some of them a bit.

- Thanks for all the feedback; this is my first time actually publishing one of my hobbies. It's been fun. :) - If you have any big tips for a brand new, out-of-the box self-publishing game developer, I'm all ears. --RogueGamer
You should check out the game's latest version; I've got it running on Linux and Mac again... at least, as far as I know. I don't get a lot of feedback -- basically it's been you and someone else who was kind enough to point out a corrupted file on the download page. I'm also trying to get a genuine roguelike -- ASCII, abundant complexity, the whole works -- up and running. At least a prototype sometime soon.
Just thought you might be interested to know. --RogueGamer 12:25, 14 August 2012 (CST)
