This is my page. It probably won't be updated that often, or maybe at all after this.

I've recently begun working on a roguelike of my own. The first version of it is more of a learning experience and likely won't be a completely finished and polished product, although I'm likely to release it. It'll be similar to FATE/Torchlight with a town and an infinite dungeon and a quest to kill a unique monster at a relatively deep level. Nothing fancy or new, except I'm likely to include the ability to leave an item to an heir if you win, or something like that.

The second version will be more similar to ADOM, in that there will be a static overworld with statically placed dungeons. There'll be some kind of overarching quest line with some random quests of no consequence other than reward and score added in.

The third version is of course the most ambitious. I want to have a procedurally generated overworld with all that entails (completely random dungeons, random quests, basically most of it will be random), although it will more than likely have one overarching quest line, which I will probably make as random as possible.

I've always enjoyed open-RPGs that give me quests but don't have to end until I say so. This game will be somewhat based on that, with the ability to retire at the end of each major quest. Of course, there is a lot of work to do before all that.

I'm using the Doryen library (libtcod), which is just awesome. I've really gotta hand it to that guy for the work he put into it and for making it available with great documentation.
