The roguebasin is a Wiki started by Slash back in January 2005. It inmediately caught the attention of the roguelike community, which for a long time was in need of a place to record all the empiric knowledge, history and current state of the genre.
The initial version of RogueBasin was hosted in the swiki.net wiki service; however after about one month of use, the site proved to be very unstable, and the wiki had to move.
Several alternatives were under study, as the site was already important for the community and it wasn't going to be allowed to die so easily.
It was with the help of DarkGod and Pav that the RogueBasin found a new home and it has been stable until now.
