AlexAngband is an older variant, based directly off of Angband.
It adds some unique features, such as the Adventurer's Guild, where items can be dropped off and subsequently picked up by other characters for a fee, which makes for interesting gameplay. It also adds in two-weapon fighting, some new powers, and a changed combat system.
