Geminum Orbis is a cancelled roguelike that was being developed by Kevin Wells.
From the developer: "Geminum Orbis was cancelled because it was somewhat overly ambitious. The code is now antiquated, messy, and pretty much downright disgusting. I've learned tons since I essentially abandoned this project five years ago, and I would much rather start fresh for roguelike development. To that end, I have been working on a new roguelike project, which is currently nearing its initial release, which is actually very playable!"
Features
- Not only myriad possible endings(which you determine as you play), but also myriad beginnings. The story is different every time, as is the world.
- Travel between two worlds, Earth and Sildora. Explore your house(and later, your hometown), and then enter(or re-enter) the dungeon on Sildora.
- An in-depth story based in an ever-growing fictional universe.
- The ability to have a very meaningful impact on the world around you.
- A family tree, complete with siblings, a spouse, etc.(the player's family is generated randomly upon beginning a new game, so YMMV)
- The chance to decide what kind of person you are going to be. Make a great many decisions throughout your life, determining the fate of your family, friends, the world, and yourself.
- Rich NPC interactions, and the ability to form lasting relationships with NPCs.
- Monsters and foes that are born in the game world and whose races are subject to natural selection.
- Much, much more!
